Wow, I can't believe it's been almost a month since I posted an entry. But like I said in my last one, with the loss of my beloved guinea pig, Rookie, the drive and energy to draw slipped away. He wasn't only my pet, but an inspiration for my drawings. But I can't say that I haven't been totally unproductive since then. With the cold weather back, I've taken up crocheting again and I'm currently working on a Christmas gift for my sister. I've also done my best to try and get some drawing practice in. Since I struggle with people so much, that's what I've been trying to focus on...especially hair and faces. According to my nee-chan, I'm doing good. ^^ Thanks nee-chan!!

I also want to work on some dragon sketches, one has been done and posted and I'll admit the bug has bit me. But again, the drive is hard to find...but it's on my list of things to do! I can't say how long it'll be until I can start sketching happily again but I do miss it. Perhaps I'll start slow in growing the creative urges by doing some wallies, but I really do hope to post some things again.

So overall, this is just a note to say I'm still around!

Like the title suggests, it's a sad day for me today. My beloved pet guinea pig, Rookie, has died. He had been sick for the past week but the last few days he seemed to perk up...I should've known better then get my hopes up.

He lived a long and happy life, making friends and peeing on many laps to make it look like that person had wet themselves...that was his favorite thing to do.

So needless to say, my guinea pig art will be lacking for awhile as will probably all the rest of my art while I get over terrible loss.

Good night, sweet Rookie, I'm glad you will be back with your buddy Shaw and no longer in pain.

Okay, I haven't made a journal for a bit so I decided now was time. First off, my sketch urge still comes and goes but I've been doing a few things and I'm working on a piece for my nee-chan. I'm really happy with how it came out so I have hope that my skills are getting better...which means I'll want to draw more. And I probably should do less J-rock art, not that I don't love it, but a little variety is always good.

Speaking of my J-rock art, I was searching through Photobucket last week for any new pictures of DuelJewel when I came across two wallpapers I made! And no, I don't have an account with them. My first thought was, 'Wow, my art as made it off of dA!' Then of course when I mentioned it to my nee-chan and thought about it some, it became clear that even though it was kinda cool, my art had been posted without my permission. So I looked through the person's album and page but didn't find anyway to contact them. Which meant I had to go to Photobucket themselves. I sent in a letter and happily today they sent me an email saying they were removed. Sadly beyond putting the watermark on my wallies, there really isn't much I can do about it happening again. And the watermark is out of the question since I want people to be able to use them. So needless to say, I'm between a rock and a hard place.

Moving on...This last weekend I noticed my beloved pet guinea pig wasn't eating or drinking at all and he was super skinny! I took him to the vet on Monday and besides being very old, he was in good health. The vet pretty much said there wasn't anything he could do and to just enjoy the time I have left with him. I'm happy to say that he's eating veggies and fruits so as long as he eats, I'm happy. But the sad countdown has begun.

Let's see, what else.....Oh! Next month my favorite season starts! HOCKEY SEASON!!! Yes, that means Lunar will be busy just about every Friday and Saturday for the next five months or so. I can't wait! GO SIOUX!

And that's about it for now, nothing spectacular but at least it's an update. ^^

ARRRGH! I just wanna scream! If you've been reading my journals lately, you know on how I've lacked the motivation to do/color any sketches and how I've been learning my way around Photoshop. Well I've always had a bit of a freezing problem with the program since I got it and it's only when I'm coloring my sketches, of course. Making wallies is no problem, just coloring. So in my 'break' time, I sent in a troubleshoot request to Photoshop about it. Got five solutions to try to fix and gave them a go. But since the freezing doesn't happen all the time, when I tried the solutions it seemed to work fine. So fast forward a bit. I do two sketches, go to color then and low and behold, Photoshop seems to be worse then ever!!! I'm so ticked!! All I want to do is color! I do have another program that I can use, Photostudio, but compared to Photoshop, it's nowhere are good. So needless to say I'm sad, upset, and frustrated. After wanting this program for so long, I finally get it and it doesn't work for me.....story of my life. >.<

Sorry for another rant journal, I needed to vent but also this is kind of a heads up. You might not be seeing my sketches for awhile...at least until I get used to Photostudio again or if by some miracle, I get Photoshop fixed. So please keep your fingers crossed for me, I have a feeling that I'm going to need it.
